Mina Agossi's creativity, originality and fresh approach to the art of singing has given the vocal scene a much needed shunt in a direction very different to that followed by the majority of her run-of-the-mill contemporaries. Mina has always been one to push boundaries and this album transcends more musical frontiers with a spellbinding collection of brand new originals and surprising new takes on a variety of familiar songs, all delivered in inimitable Agossi style. Superbly recorded at Studios La Buissonne in South West France, the album features the incomparable Manolo Badrena on percussion along with her regular compatriots Eric Jacot (bass) and Ichiro Onoe (drums), with the proceedings further enlivened by the addition of Frederic Dupond (Moog synthesiser) and Racos (rap).
