Trip to Cornwall & Eden Project
Have you ever thought about a job where you would be working surrounded by the most beautiful plants from all around the world, in the open air but still protected against the bad weather, breathing the cleanest freshest air all the day …?
And what about if during the interview for such a job you were told to get up and dance for 10 minutes… and as a part of your job duties you would have to say hello to 20 people every day; read a book that you would never normally read, and then discuss it; cook a meal for all the people who make it worthwhile going to work; make someone else's wishes come true…and few other very

Trip to Cornwall & Eden Project
Have you ever thought about a job where you would be working surrounded by the most beautiful plants from all around the world, in the open air but still protected against the bad weather, breathing the cleanest freshest air all the day …?
And what about if during the interview for such a job you were told to get up and dance for 10 minutes… and as a part of your job duties you would have to say hello to 20 people every day; read a book that you would never normally read, and then discuss it; cook a meal for all the people who make it worthwhile going to work; make someone else's wishes come true…and few other very unusual things?
But what employer would set such funny rules?
Well… Mr Tim Smit, the founder of the Eden Project did. As he say: “I try to make people think differently and to challenge their prejudices”. Ten years ago… unknown. Nowadays, someone to whom ministers and foreign governments come for advice.
And what is exactly the Eden Project?
Built in an exhausted clay pit near St. Austell in Cornwall, the Eden is a global garden for the 21st Century. It showcase 250,000 plants from around the world in two giant transparent steel-and-plastic structures known as "biomes each recreating different climate conditions. Eden's aim was to tell the fascinating story of mankind's dependence on plants, help people understand the world we live in, but also inspire to action. More than one million people have visited this "living theatre of plants and people" each year since its opening in 2001.
OK You don’t have to dance (if you don’t want to) nor cook for us (even though it sounds like a good idea) on our trip to Eden Project but certainly you won’t get bored either.
On Saturday (26.7.) we bike the famous Clay trails to the Eden Project. Spend a wonderful day exploring the world’s largest greenhouses. Hungry? There’s something for everyone. You’ll find fresh, healthy food from around the corner and across the world, all responsibly sourced. And round the day on the most beautiful beaches in the area, Span Sands. Sunday we walk along the Cornish coastline to the charming port of Fowey, popular with yachtsmen, full of character having many narrow meandering streets for you to explore.
Excited about the plan? We are!!!
Visit Eden Project (www.edenproject.com) or come with us (www.mintytrips.co.uk).

Our aim: Our aim is to offer active time outdoors and a possibility
for everyone to get together and make new friends across different
communities living in the UK. We are usually up to 15 people, travel on
trains and local buses, and sleep in friendly hostels. Travelling
responsibly, respecting locals and supporting local business is important
for us.

LIVE MUSIC FROM 8.30pm
“Roy aims to transcend cultural and political borders through music and to keep the sound in a state of constant renewal and evolution. It is his vision to combine traditional instruments with modern ones, to bring together guest musicians from different backgrounds, whose individual styles reflect their diversity and to allow them to express this freely together. www.myspace.com/chameleoneye
BORDER CROSSING DJS 'Border Crossing' deejays Aj and Seorais are looking foward to playing everything from a to z to compliment the range of expression by the various musicians. Their two l.p.'s to date (Ominous and Freedom of Speech) reveal a broad minded approach and embracing attitude to a wide variety of music. The west London duo, currently monthly residents at the Kartel event P.Y.O. at 93 ft East expand their reach in Brick Lane, East London with this new night at the Vibe Bar. www.myspace.com/bordercrossing
SANDRA NKAKE PARISIAN-CAMEROONIAN SOUL InTheBasement review of Sandra’s gig supporting Incognito in Paris, May 2007: “Nkake’s voice is reminiscent of a young Dee Dee Bridgewater and her charisma ensured that her mix of own compositions and unusual covers earned a well deserved ovation from the crowd. She is obviously heading toward recognition beyond the...French funk and soul community.” Frederic Adrian www.myspace.com/sandrankake
