Caudalie's story starts in Bordeaux in 1995 at the heart of a vineyard with a husband and wife, Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas. It was a chance meeting at their family's vineyard with Dr. Vercauteren, Pharmacy Professor at the University of Bordeaux, that inspired the launch of Caudalie. The polyphenols specialist revealed to them the extraordinary antioxidant power of the discarded debris of their grape harvest, more effective than vitamin E to fight against free radicals.
