During the last months of the first world war, Marthe no longer can bear her husband's absence who is fighting at the Front. She feels lonely and needs to be loved. She decides to have an affair with a 17 years old schoolboy. This is a portrait of lovers betraying a soldier away at war and also a rich and sensuous tale.
