Drama Winner of the FIPRESCI prize at the Cannes Film Festival 2001 A pornographer in the 1970’s, Jacques Laurent (Jean-Pierre Leaud) is returning to the industry where he made his reputation, to pay off his debts. Many years ago, Jacque’s son, Joseph abruptly left the family home after finding out that his father wasn’t the “auteur” that he thought he was. Joseph, now a university student makes unexpected contact with his father. Jacques is depressed by the realisation that he is unable to capture love on screen and that the world of “erotica” has vastly altered. Whilst Joseph quickly finds his identity and eventual happiness in love, his father goes through a very different experience.
