In french and english A premiere in the UK, Jean Louis Bertuccelli’s film Remparts d’Argile will be shown with a soundtrack performed live by the Henri Texier Trio. Although both the music and the film have been seen and heard separately in the UK, this is the first time that they have been brought together. The 1968 film so inspired Texier that he composed a score for it, which was then released (Label Bleu) and performed to great critical acclaim in the UK during 2001. Texier’s music elegantly portrays the subject of this virtually dialogue-free film, a village lost in the Algerian-Tunisian Sahara, and reveals Texier's long-standing interest in combining jazz and ethnic influences. 1971 Berlin Film Festival Interfilm Award, 1971 Prix Jean Vigo.
