After Shoah (1985), A visitor from the living (1997), Sobibor (2001) and Le Rapport Karski (2010), Claude Lanzmann signs Le Dernier des Injustes, a documentary based on filmed interviews of Benjamin Murmelstein, in Rome in 1975. 
Benjamin Murmelstein is the only "Elder of the Jews" not to have been killed during the war. For years, he has been Eichmann's puppet, leading the Nazis' horror administratively and planning the sending of the Jews to the camps. This documentary shows a mysterious and malicious character, and features short nazi propaganda films. Lanzmann sheds light on the origins of the "Final Solution".
