16 year old Claude befriends one of his classmates and begins writing stories about his friend’s family. Impressed with the writing of this unusual and gifted student, his jaded tutor (Luchini) rediscovers a passion for teaching and begins advising him on how to make them better. However, the student’s stories spark a series of uncontrollable events that will change the lives of everyone involved.

Kristen S-T described it as a comedy ( perhaps comedie dramatique might be fairer).
I found it well made, but slightly disturbing to see and only the blurring between reality and fantasy stopped it being possibly immoral.......great acting though by all the leads especially the young Ernst Umhauer (who is actually 24, and from Cherbourg). A talent to watch.
