Continuing the story from 2009's Coco Before Chanel, Coco Chanel meets Igor Stravinsky for the first time at the premiere of his revolutionary work The Rite of Spring. The modern piece enrages the audience at the Champs-Élysées and a near riot ensues, leaving Stravinsky inconsolable.

Seven years pass and as her fashion brand flourishes Chanel meets Stravinsky in Paris again. The attraction is immediate and electric. Now a penniless refugee living in exile after the Russian revolution, Stravinsky is invited to reside at Chanel's villa where he moves in with his children and consumptive wife. And so a passionate and intense love affair between the two creative giants begins...
