Catherine (Julianne Moore) and David Stewart (Liam Neeson) are married have good jobs and a 17-year-old son, Michael (Max Thieriot), they live in Toronto, Ontario. Catherine hires an escort named Chloe (Amanda Seyfried) to seduce her husband, David, who she suspects is cheating. Through unforeseen events the young call-girl puts the family in danger.“Chloe”, directed by Canadian Atom Egoyan, was premiered at the London Film Festival. Starring Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried and Liam Neeson, the film is a remake of French film “Nathalie” by Anne Fontaine.
Moore looks haggard, Neeson haunted and Seifried unhappy – and that’s just the trailer. Worse, everyone is aware that this is the film that Neeson was shooting when his wife died earlier last year making the subject matter even more distasteful. (Neeson did not attend the premier.) Established stars Neeson and Moore are expected to survive catastrophic reviews and a straight to dvd release.
