Story: Serge (Serge Gainsbourg) is an award-winning advertising executive. When he meets the pretty, equally shallow Evelyne (Jane Birkin), he rents her an apartment and decides to leave his pregnant wife. Slogan was not only how the legendary couple met, but the theme - atmospherically arranged by Jean Claude Vannier - was Birkin's singing debut.
