A film in three parts: Kingdom 1: Hell; Kingdom 2: Purgatory; Kingdom 3: Paradise. "Hell" is a montage of war footage, without any chronological or historical order. The footage is void of sound, with only 4 sentences and 4 musical strains heard. "Purgatory" takes place in present day Sarajevo during the European Literary Encounters and is made up of conference extracts and bits of conversation dealing with the importance of poetry, the image we project to others, the Palestine-Israeli war, etc.,...a mixture of real and imaginary people. A visit to the Mostar bridge, being rebuilt, symbolizes the exchange between guilt and pardon. "Paradise" introduces us to a young woman who, having sacrificed herself, finds peace on a small beach guarded by US Marines.
