Onra at Islington Assembly Hall on 21 April

21/04/2016 from 19:00 to 23:00

For the first time since releasing his 2015 album Fundamentals, the Prince of Parisian hip-hop is bringing his worldly beats to North London's incredible Islington Assembly Hall on Thursday 21 April.

Support comes from Martelo & Rita Maia, two artists making movements in their own right. Onra is well known for doing the unexpected, finding rap routes that pave the way for some of the biggest producers. His chopped-up RnB laden beats have captured the throwback trends of the moment giving a perfect sense of nostalgia and creating a journey through hip-hop like no other.

Since his debut Chinoiseries, Onra has mastered silky RnB and funk sounds, and sonically visited all corners of the globe to build an undeniably eclectic roster that mirrors his live performances.

His most recent release Fundamentals is yet to be played live in London, and as his most fun album yet it’s sure to set crowds wild. Released on Dublin’s All City Label which is steeped in rap history, Onra visits the golden age of hip-hop/rap and captures it perfectly. With collaborations from industry mainstays such as Chuck Inglish and Daz Dillinger, the upbeat 303 beats and classic style vocals are sure to welcome the summer vibes.
