31/08/2015 at 18:30

The Low Budget Men - French band from Nice - Well played, well written mainstream pop rock in the spirit of The Kinks and other British Invasion influences. The band play their own original material. They were named after the album “Low Budget” by The Kinks, who’ve always been Claude Mariottini’s musical inspiration. The exceptional addition of Doreen Chanter on backing vocals adds to the overall feel (ex-backing vocalist with Joe Cocker, Roxy Music, Roger Waters, Van Morrison….)

Soon after the band started they appeared in a very well-known and popular French national TV Show “Vivement Dimanche”, (6 million spectators) with their hit dedicated to The Kinks “On A Sunny Afternoon”.

The highlight of their 2014 tour being when they performed in the Nice Jazz Festival sharing the bill with such stars as Deep Purple, Keziah Jones, Dr. John…

One of the highlights of the band’s 2015 tour will be when they open the concert for Selah Sue at the “Nice Music Live” Festival on 15th July - Théâtre de Verdure, Nice.

Their music is widely diffused on British FM radio including the BBC, and in Ireland, Spain, France, Brazil and in the United States. The band were voted “Indie Artist of the Year 2012” by Radio England (UK).
