Guided Tours, Book Sale and Archives Exhibition

As part of Open House London, the Institute will open its doors wide and reveal its secrets. Did you know that the Institut was founded in 1910 by a woman, Marie d'Orliac? Or that we welcomed Charles de Gaulle during the Second World War? Learn all about the Institute's fascinating history and gorgeous Art Deco architecture including the recently renovated Grade II listed Reading Room with our guided tours and archives exhibition, and take home a bit of France thanks to our book sale!

Open House for Kids

An important part of this year's Open House at the Institute is to give children a voice. So we will hand over the design of the best Children’s Library to all our young visitors! Fun filled creative sessions and short visits for kids led by top children’s entertainers and craftspeople will take place at the Institut throughout the day.
