Poets Out and About: Jacques Réda

12/09/2014 from 19:00 to 21:00

Attention all poetry lovers! The French Institute is launching a new event: Poets Out and About. A unique evening of poetry readings and discussions featuring Jacques Réda, one of France's greatest living poets, recipient of the Prix Goncourt de la Poésie. A Forerunner of, and inspiration to, contemporary psychogeography, Réda's poetry of Paris explores the uncany banality of city life. Joining Réda in this intimate event will be a selection of London-based writers found in the recent Mount London collection (Penned in the Margins). The event will pay tribute to the continued resonance of this poet's work in the urban landscape. It is chaired by poet and Modern Poetry in Translation editor Sasha Dugdale.
