Yann Tiersen in Concert at the Royal Festival Hall
26/09/2014 from 18:30 to 22:00
Globally recognised from the soundtrack to the film Amélie, Yann Tiersen is admired for his unusual, haunting music.
The Brittany-born musician performs at Royal Festival Hall to mark the launch of his new album Infinity.
Already well-known, his albums achieved world-wide renown when three of them, Cascade Street, The Lighthouse and Les Retrouvailles, were combined and used for the soundtrack to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's award-winning 2001 film.
More recently he live-scored the Fantômas series at the Théâtre de Châtelet in Paris with guests such as Tim Hecker, James Blackshaw, Loney, Dear and amiina.
Infinity is produced by Yann Tiersen and mixed by Gareth Jones with Yann Tiersen and Daniel Miller. Tiersen has worked with native language speakers to include tracks sung and spoken in Breton.

Amelie is one of my favourite French films. I have watched it several times, and still like to watch it again!
