Exquisite literary evening with Catherine Cusset
28/01/2013 from 19:00 to 00:00
Indigo, Catherine Cusset's latest novel, has the sweetness of an indian summer.
First of all, it's about a trip to India, from the viewpoint of diverse visitors: Géraldine organises a seminar at the Alliance Française in Delhi, bringing together Charlotte, Roland and Raphaël, each of them coming with their own personal story.
It's also an initiatory voyage for each of them, as they have just arrived in Delhi with their own love stories, friendships, childhoods and memories from their past comes to them at each street corner. Charlotte is in India for the first time and this country reminds her constantly of her friend who died recently.
Indigo carries out the melancholy of human relationships, with the difficulties they imply as well as the warmth of a walk on the beach. A great novel, profound and entertaining.
