Around Jules Verne in 80 minutes!

“ Alex and David created « CLOCKS ! » for the creative resideny of kids shows at the French Institute, as a hilarious 50 minutes rendition of a unknown Jules Verne tale. The chemistry of the duo and the quirky nature of their double-act led them to take on all of Jules Verne's work and Around Jules Vernes in 80 minutes was born.

- Journey to the Center of the Earth, Twenty thousand leagues under the sea, Five weeks in a balloon, Around the world in 80 days, Master Zacharius, Journey to the center of the earth, all in 80 minutes!

With a steampunk pool of ridiculous props, a smoke machine and some costumes. Watch the challenge ! This fantastically funny show features all your favourite characters : Passe-Partout, Phileas Fogg, Captain Nemo and of course all the incredible machines! Jules Verne pioneered the science-fiction genre. He wrote about space, air, and underwater travel before any of it were even possible. He is the third most translated author in the world. In February, Exchange Theatre takes the young audience in a dazzling journey through all his major books.

David Furlong is known for his comic outing as Lucien in the English Premiere of French farces by Feydeau, and is also the director behind Square(d) and The Flies («It's commendable to see so much innovation and energy» The Londonist). Alex Kanefsky is a founder performer with Paper Balloon Company which currently tours the UK.
