Ici Radio France Londres: 18th June live from the French Institute
From 31/05/2010 to 18/06/2010 at 23:59
Radio France is mobilizing its airwaves to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Charles de Gaulle's call to arms on 18th June 1940: The day Radio made History.
"Honour, common sense and the superior interests of the nation command all the Free French to continue fighting wherever they are and however they can ... I, General de Gaulle, am starting this national task here in England. I invite all the French who want to remain free to listen to me and to follow me."
From resistence to freedom, all the groupe's stations will address the many symbols linked to the medium of Radio: the weapon of resistonce and political combat, a major vector of information in situations of urgency...
Live from London on 18th June!
France Inter, France Info, France Musique and Le Mouv' will be broadcasting live from the French Institute, from 5am until 11pm.
And to end the day with a bang, France Inter will als be offering its listeners a fantastic concert from Arno, surrounded by guests, live from Koko on Camden High street. For more information on this event and tickets, see our web page.
