After selling out KOKO in January, Wax Tailor is back in London with his full live band. Setting up shop a couple doors down in Camden Town’s Electric Ballroom, this French Hip Hop maestro promises to deliver another night of musical brilliance.

With the critically acclaimed worldwide success of his first two albums, Wax Tailor breaks musical barriers combining hot downtempo beats from the U.S with cultural European lyricism. With ten years on the circuit the Frenchman has carved his place on the scene with one of the best selling electronic releases of last year.

Off the back of his third album ‘In the Mood for Life’ and a sold out autumn tour under his belt, the acclaimed trip hop producer has found an eclectic new sound fusing live soul, jazz, funk and 60’s pop.

Accompanied with his four-piece live band Wax Tailor’s hot new set sees him mash up his unique brand of cinematic hip-hop electronica with turntablistic samples from the likes of Nina Simone, in his own inimitable fashion that is set to electrify the ballroom.

Tickets are now available through ticketweb: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk

ABOUT WAX TAILOR
Wax Tailor, Jean-Christophe Le Saoût to his friends, is the adulated French trip/hip hop producer who broke onto the scene in 2001. Starting life as a radio host in Paris he created his own label, Lab'Oratoire, in 1998 producing tracks for the Swedish band Looptroop. Three years later Wax Tailor was born blending his oozing cinematic grooves with abstract hip-hop, electronica, trip-hop, downtempo, and samples extracted from movies.

His debut album Tales of the Forgotten Melodies became one of the best selling electronic releases of the year. His follow up two years later, Hope and Sorrow was just as well received and was  rewarded with nominations for the French "Victoires de la Musique" and US Indie music awards. Collaborating with names such as Charlotte Savary, The Others and Big Dada rapper Infinite Livez, Wax Tailor’s third release in September of last year, In the Mood for Life, came off the back of a 200 date world tour, and now with his four piece live band the French star is set up for even greater success in 2010.
