A luminous beauty, fiercely intelligent actress and gifted artist, Juliette Binoche has embodied romantic French femininity in an impressive body of international art films.
The BFI explores the appeal of the seductive Oscar-winning star in a two part tribute this autumn. Renowned for performances in films such as Les Amants du Pont-Neuf (1991), Three Colours Blue (1993) and The English Patient (1996) for which she won an Oscar, the Season includes Juliette Binoche in The Guardian Interview and an exhibition of her paintings.
