How to register to vote?
To vote in the London elections you must register by 16 April 2008.
Make sure nothing stops you if you would like to make your mark on the way London is run. If you are not on the electoral register you cannot vote.
Only registered voters can vote in the elections on 1 May 2008. To register, you need to fill in a simple form, giving your name, nationality and address. Once you've filled in this form, send it to your local borough's elections office.
Paying council tax will not automatically include you on the electoral register. Although both are held by the council, the two lists are separate.
