Charlotte Gainsbourg

Charlotte Gainsbourg, daughter of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin, was born in London in 1971. She is an internationally acclaimed actress who works in both English and French, and has acted alongside stars such as Sean Penn, Charlotte Rampling, William Hurt, Gael Garcia Bernal, Daniel Auteuil, indeed the list could go on and on.

Now however Charlotte has turned her hand to her beautiful new album – ‘5.55’. These are not her first forays into music, indeed in 1984, at the age of 13, she sung the provocative ‘Lemon incest’ with her father, which was followed by the albm ‘Charlotte forever’ in 1987. For this new album, twenty years later, Charlotte has worked with the best in the business. The producer was Nigel Godrich while Jarvis Cocker, Air and Neil Hannon helped out with the lyrics.
