Colombier (Le)

   Colombier (Le)

This authentic French restaurant is run by Didier Garnier. Didier started Brasserie St Quentin in Knightsbridge back in the early 80s. He was then only 24. After creating one of the most successful chains of the 80s, he decided that he should go back to his first love, running one restaurant and one restaurant only. Today, with Le Colombier, he has succeeded in doing just that. He is very proud of the quality of the produce he offers. They are simple but delicious. He proposes a daily set menu of two course at the very fair price of £16.50 which also includes coffee. On the menu you will find old favourites from the classical French dishes such as oeuf poche meurette or steak tartare and crème brulee - every dish made from to quality ingredients simply cooked and giving value for money in every respect. A.A. The wine list is also reasonable.

It is always a pleasure to dine at Le Colombier, the food is always spot on, unpretentious, well executed and plentiful. The Service is first class always thoughtful and well mannered.
Le Colombier is also well known for its wine list, superb with a large range of choice all at a reasonable price (even the expensive one has the wine is great value for money). Highly recommended.
