The 14th July is approaching: the only day when we French not only have an excuse, but a duty to party is, once again, upon us!


And it seems that this year London has done its very best to ensure that the festivities will go off with a bang. Which ever way you chose to celebrate this momentous anniversary - from revolutionary meals and French concerts to balls and all night parties- you can be sure to find something to suit your tastes and your mood.

Bastille Day Ball at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle:

A popular event every year, this time the ball will take place on the 12th.

La Vie en Rose:

If you really want to celebrate, then the annual 14th of July party at Egg is the event for you . It will take place on Saturday 12th and the theme this year is Moulin Rouge and the extravagance of Paris in the 1900s. Buffet and cocktails start at 10 o’clock but the dancing will go on until the early morning with a host of fantastic DJs keeping the party going.
And if by sunrise you still haven’t had enough, then stay put for breakfrast which will be served there from 5 am until late…

14th July concert at Wigmore Hall:

If you’re looking for a more civilised and cultured evening out, despair not, it’s not all about drinking and dancing. Highly acclaimed young pianist Alasdair Beatson will be performing a selection of French classical pieces at Wigmore Hall on the evening of the 14th. Book quickly as it is sure to be a sell out!

Revolutionary Dinner at La Cave:

Looking for an excuse to indulge in delicious french cuisine ? then head on over to La Cave on Monday 14th where they have planned  a special evening complete with live music, waiters in full Parisian attire and the French colours. Don’t forget your beret as there will be a bottle of NV Moutardier champagne for best costume!

French Theatre Bastille Weekend:

For a dose of French culture then book now for ticket’s to George Feydau’s much loved comedy “Madame’s Late Mother” on the 12th, 13th and 14th July at the Rosemary Branch Theatre. Make the most of being a FranceInLondoner: quote “FranceInLondon” at the door and pay only £8!
