Exhibitions not to be missed in Paris

The Philipps collection at the Musée du Luxembourg:
Le Sénat offre au public l’occasion de découvrir un ensemble extraordinaire de soixante-sept chefs-d’œuvre en provenance de l’un des plus importants et anciens musées privés d’art moderne au monde, la Collection Phillips de Washington. Cette collection exceptionnelle est probablement l’une des les plus parfaites par sa cohérence et la qualité de ses oeuvres.
From 30th of November to 26th of March 2006

The Klimt, Schiele, Moser, Kokoschka's collection at the Grand Palais:
With 91 paintings and 55 drawings executed between 1890 and 1918 (the year of the deaths of Klimt, Schiele and Moser), the exhibition gives a broad overview of the revolution in pictorial language of which the Viennese Secession, a movement founded by Klimt and his artist friends in 1897, was the crucible.
From 5th of October to 23th of January 2006

William Klein's exhibition at Centre Pompidou:
As a photographer, film-maker, graphic artist and painter, W. Klein is among those who have most contributed, for almost fifty years, to revolutionising the practice of photography, by engendering a new type of photographic writing, notably through books. The retrospective exhibition blends early and contemporary works – photographs, book lay-outs, film excerpts, paintings, drawings, posters – taken from the artist's personal archives.
From 7th of December to 20th of February 2006

Antique Jewelry at the Louvre:

Comprising over 150 pieces, this ensemble was regarded as one of the largest and most varied private collections in existence at the time it was assembled. Today it is one of the Louvre’s most important collections of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities.
From 21st of October to 16th of January 2006
