Red Carpet Day - French Entrepreneurs in the UK speak to French Entrepreneurs in France

By FIL
18/10/2013

On Thursday 10 October the Red Carpet Day was being held by the UFE Corporate UK at Le Tapis Rouge in Paris. The event was designed to help French entrepreneurs export to the UK. The event was criticised by many as being a mean to assist French companies leave France in order to avoid paying the taxes currently imposed upon them by the French government. However, the event was in fact there to give advice to companies who are interested in setting subsidiaries in the UK or in some cases finding funding for their projects. With over 185 people registering to attend the event, this was seen as being a real success for the organisers who were aiming to attract approximately 120 people.

In the last year, French entrepreneurs have openly criticised their government for the lack of understanding of their business and many feel that the government is “out to get them” if their companies become successful.
